My Robertson Family History site includes information on the two Robertson families from whom I am descended, and the families which are connected to them through marriage.

James Robertson, born in Renfrew, Scotland,  (1781-1868) arrived in Australia in 1822 on "Providence" with his wife Anna Maria Ripley and 6 children - two more were born in NSW.

Duncan Robertson, born in Alvie, Invernesshire, Scotland  (1792-1875) arrived in Van Dieman's Land, later called Tasmania,  in 1855 on "Storm Cloud" with 9 children - one child had preceded them to the colony, and two remained in Scotland.

The families were combined when James Robertson's granddaughter, Alice Struan Robertson, the daughter of Sir John Robertson, married Duncan Robertson, the son of Duncan, who was 18 years her senior.
